Watford Friends February 17th – 25th, 2012

A UK delegation planted an olive tree in Salfit to mark the twinning of the town with Watford, outside London, in the UK. The event was part of a tour of Palestine organized by the Siraj Center for the Watford Twinning Communities group.

Along the way, the delegation met with both Palestinian and Israeli grassroots and non-governmental organizations.

They visited Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Beit Sahour, Hebron, Deir Istiya, Jenin, and Nablus, exploring the issues of occupation, settlements, and the role of international solidarity.
